Waiau Hatchery
Full-time Salmon Hatchery Worker
Our Salmon hatchery in Rotherham produces millions of beautiful juvenile salmon for our grow-out farm in Akaroa Harbour.
Located just a minutes-drive from Rotherham town, 30 minutes from the tourist town Hanmer and 1 hr 15 min from Christchurch.
We would love to employ a local in the area to perform duties at the hatchery including:
- Rearing salmon through all the life stages from egg, fry, to smolt
- Environmental monitoring
- General work
- Technical duties such as helping with grading, weight recording and research
Applicants must be either New Zealand residents or hold a current working visa. Rostered weekend work will be required.
Remuneration is commensurate with experience.
